The purpose of the workshop was to teach more advanced lighting techniques to the students. Once you have the basic understanding of how to photograph in a studio, you can apply these techniques to create more dramatic images with the use of your lighting. We also created different coloured backdrops by using colour gels on a black backdrop. We started with a basic white backdrop without any light on it which gave us a grey background. I did a Photoshop edit by changing the backdrop colour to show the difference that the backdrop colour will make on an image. We used blue and red gels on black to create the coloured backdrop with any Photoshop. We also used one light on black to create some dramatic black and white images.
